Accuracy and current detailed customer information is essential to obtain repeat customers, reviews or new sales.

mailing list marketing
Mailing lists can be one or a combination of sources, such as email addresses, physical addresses or phone numbers.  Ideally, you want a mailing list to incorporate as much information as possible, just in case one contact is no longer valid, you have several others to refer back to.

You can also include the following information with your mailing list information for each customer or potential customer.
• Track which items are purchased by each customer.
• Track how they make their purchases, online, in store, over the phone, community events.
• Track how frequently you have contacted the customer.
These are only a couple of helpful approaches to fragment the list and gather an attainable goal for your niche’s purpose.
1. Prospective customers
Individuals who have just bought from you will probably buy once more, given that their experience was a decent one. A mailing list assembled from current clients is an incredible place for deals to begin. This is especially valid for an online store that has numerous items for sale. For instance, a small business that sells seasonal clothing and now winter comes around, your previous customer is likely to purchase winter clothes as well and if not, you already know they are already interested in summer clothes.  When summer rolls back around again, send them a summer deal coupon and watch the past customer, become a repeat customer again.  Deals can entice behavior to purchase multiple times from a known and previously visited store.
2. New Products
Current clients who are content with the item or service they have received from an online retailer will probably attempt to purchase another item. How about the customers who are not yet, customers?  Accordingly, a client mailing list is an awesome place to begin an item dispatch. Use the list and the information contained within to gain energy and momentum about the product before a customer purchases it.  Attempt to have your customers talking about your product and why they need it as opposed to just buying because there is a sale.  Someone new does not know the quality of your work, so you must convince him or her that you have an item they NEED or desperately want.  Data you collect will be crucial to determine what new items will do well and which ones will not.
How to Generate a Mailing List?
There are many ways to gather a mailing list if you don’t already have one.
1)  Try social media and promote your products with a sign up email.  Offer a discount for those that sign up or a freebie.  Customers love deals and freebies.  Be sure to market your sign up newsletter to people that are interested in what you are selling.  For example, if you sell baby clothes, Facebook has lots of mom and baby forums where you can ask for sign ups.
2)  You can purchase mailing lists from many organizations that will find people who are interested in your particular item and they already have mailing address for your niche.  Watch out, because some of the mailing list organizations will only give you information to customers who are interested in the top tier category of what you sell.  For example, you sell  European charm bracelets.  A mailing list group may give you a list of people who are interested in jewelry, which is a broad category and you may end up sending promotional material to people who do not have a need for your particular item.
3)  My absolute favorite is reaching out to past customers.  Previous customers are almost going to be a repeat customer and best part is, you already know what they want and what you have to offer. If a previous buying experience was pleasant, the online shopper is more than likely to purchase again from you.  If you have an Etsy shop and do not know how to easily extract your mailing list from your past customer sales, check out this listing (Etsy Mailing List Service).

If you already have a mailing list, you are one step ahead and if you do not..you know how to start building one,

Good luck
